Setup
What to prepare.
- Who, on your side
- A Salesforce admin (Setup access).
- Prerequisites
- A Salesforce org with Digital Wallet or AI entitlements.
- What to provide
- Three values: Consumer Key, Consumer Secret and Instance URL.
- Where to get it
- Setup → App Manager → New Connected App (OAuth, scopes "api" and "refresh_token"; "cdp_query_api" for Data Cloud usage). A step-by-step installation kit is provided (downloadable below).
A freshly created Connected App can take a few minutes to propagate: temporary 401/403 errors right after creation are normal.
Frequently asked questions
Before you start.
- Do we need Data Cloud?
- No. Consumption and licenses are tracked without Data Cloud. Data Cloud adds the per-employee detail when Agentforce logs usage into it.
- Can the connector modify our org?
- No. The requested scopes are read-only; optidome never modifies the configuration of your tools.
